  • Long Description: NEW ORLEANS, La. - David Doan, Blacksburg, S.C., carries a board upstairs for sub-flooring a home damaged by floods following Hurricane Katrina. Doan, a member at Hopewell Baptist Church, Blacksburg, S.C., worked with Operation New Orleans Area Home (NOAH) Rebuild, an effort to help 1,000 families return to their hurricane-damaged homes. Operation NOAH Rebuild is an initiative of Southern Baptists. More than 18,000 volunteers have participated in Operation NOAH Rebuild since its inception in August 2006.
